What to include in a hose quotation request
A practical RFQ checklist for importers, distributors and equipment buyers: describe the job, operating conditions, quantity and delivery needs.
Start with what you already know
If you have selected a product, send its name or website link and the required size. If you have not selected a material, describe the application first. State which details are confirmed and which still need advice so the discussion can start without an assumed specification.
Provide the technical requirements
List the medium, temperature and pressure conditions together with the dimensions. Identify units and whether dimensions refer to the inside or outside diameter. Add connection information and any drawings that can be shared.

- Suction, movement, cleaning or other special conditions
Add quantity and delivery details
State the requested quantity and its unit, such as metres, coils or assemblies. Include the destination, preferred delivery timing and packaging or marking requirements. Ask the supplier to confirm availability, minimum quantity and lead time for the actual specification rather than assuming one policy applies to every product.
Review the reply against the same request
Check that the quoted product, dimensions, rating conditions, quantity basis and packaging match your request. Keep unresolved technical points visible before placing an order. A product substitution should be reviewed against the original conditions, not accepted only because its material name looks similar.
