Clarify tube dimensions, spiral length definitions and connection needs before comparing polyurethane products for your equipment.
Identify the product form
The polyurethane range includes pneumatic tubing, spiral hose and other TPU constructions. Begin with the form required by the installation. A straight-tube dimension or length should not be assumed to describe a complete spiral product.
State both the dimensions and the units
Specify whether your dimension is an inside diameter or outside diameter, and give the unit. Include the fitting or equipment connection requirement. When using a drawing, identify the relevant dimensions rather than relying on an unlabelled number.
Clarify spiral lengths and movement
For spiral hose, describe the resting space and the required operating reach. Ask how the supplier defines each length in the specification, including end sections where applicable. Provide movement and connection details together with pressure, temperature and medium.

Can I choose using outside diameter alone?
Also check the required inside diameter, connection, medium, pressure and temperature. One dimension does not establish complete suitability.
